For the 2008-2009 financial year, Trust Aoraki distributed $1,123,443.37 into the local community. This is in the form of financial grants to local sporting and community organisations. It is by far the largest contribution made since the inception of Trust Aoraki Ltd (formerly South Canterbury Charities Ltd) in 2003.

November 2006 Catherine Preen and Janet Harding (Sports Directors of AORAKI SECONDARY SCHOOLS SPORTS INC) present to South Canterbury Charities a photo collage of participant activities. Receiving the framed picture is Irene Emond (at right) – Manager of South Canterbury Charities. The presentation was in recognition of the valuable contributions South Canterbury Charities Ltd has made to Aoraki Secondary Schools Sports Inc. over the last 2 years. The picture will be presented to the SCCL Board at the next funding meeting 13th December 2006.
